Speaker:

Hi, this is Mike Crow and I run a home inspection business.

Speaker:

In fact, I've run a couple of home inspection businesses.

Speaker:

You true joy for me though, has been helping literally thousands of

Speaker:

home inspectors build really solid home inspection business as well.

Speaker:

We can help a single man operation be able to do over $300,000 a year.

Speaker:

Maybe all the way up to $400,000 a year as a single inspector.

Speaker:

Even better for me is the 80 plus companies that we have helped

Speaker:

be able to build million dollar home inspection businesses.

Speaker:

I would like to help you be able to do the same.

Speaker:

Now let's talk about memory.

Speaker:

Test your muscle memory to wake up your brain.

Speaker:

This is interesting.

Speaker:

Your mind can't command, unless you first learned to obey you.

Speaker:

Can't direct others without training until you actually are willing to do

Speaker:

what successful people tell you to do.

Speaker:

You cannot be successful yourself.

Speaker:

I learned that a long time ago because my dad has been the most successful

Speaker:

person in my life in so many ways.

Speaker:

And I learned to listen to what he told me to do.

Speaker:

And then I found coaches and then I found consultants and I found other people

Speaker:

that told me what successful people did.

Speaker:

Stagnant minds are the greatest obstacles to progress.

Speaker:

I don't know about you, but how many books did you read last year?

Speaker:

Right?

Speaker:

Brian talked about this.

Speaker:

The average person reads how many?

Speaker:

Zero.

Speaker:

Okay.

Speaker:

Krista and I and Jonathan we read.

Speaker:

I guarantee you at least one book a month, at least.

Speaker:

And we have people reading some in some cases, one book a week.

Speaker:

Your brain relegates, everything possible to other functions in

Speaker:

the body, as long as it's able.

Speaker:

And that it is only when the old order of things won't work any longer, does

Speaker:

the brain actually get on the job?

Speaker:

So I want you to understand this, your brain is working against you.

Speaker:

One professor discovered that he was buttoning his shirt up one

Speaker:

day and we all button our shirts and we just do it automatically.

Speaker:

And we realized he wasn't working.

Speaker:

So his brain went all right, let me look at that.

Speaker:

Huh?

Speaker:

The button hole is sewed shut.

Speaker:

And so he realized there was a problem.

Speaker:

That was the only time the brain kicked in.

Speaker:

And then what he realized as he was teaching all of his classes.

Speaker:

But that's the way everybody works in life.

Speaker:

You get in your car and you drive somewhere and you don't even think

Speaker:

about where you're going anymore.

Speaker:

Especially with GPS.

Speaker:

Now, hopefully you're punching in good information into the GPS.

Speaker:

What are you doing to wake up your brain to force you to think differently?

Speaker:

This is the reason masterminds are so important because when you sit around

Speaker:

the table with 16 other people that are building successful businesses and

Speaker:

you say something that's completely bogus, okay, they're going to call you.

Speaker:

And it's kind of weird because you know, somebody shows up and they're

Speaker:

in shorts and, and we go, please tell me, you don't wear shorts on the job.

Speaker:

, not you.

Speaker:

You're the owner of the company.

Speaker:

You don't wear shorts right on, on, on inspections.

Speaker:

Well, yeah, in my area because I'm in Arizona or I'm in, I'm in Florida

Speaker:

and, and shorts are normal bogus.

Speaker:

My friend completely bogus.

Speaker:

I just want you to know I'm calling you on it.

Speaker:

You want to be successful dressed successful.

Speaker:

At one point, Jonathan used to wear short sleeves and he used to wear blue jeans.

Speaker:

And Jonathan at one point went, I want to be manager of this company.

Speaker:

And I said, great, you now wear slacks.

Speaker:

And you now wear long sleeve shirts every single day and no more short sleeves.

Speaker:

And he went Don and Ashley it's, he, it was a lot easier

Speaker:

than he thought it would be.

Speaker:

But your brain has to get on the job.

Speaker:

95% of people thinking aimless does solitary.

Speaker:

I'm going to tell you what that word means in a second, because I didn't know to

Speaker:

solitary gossipy flow of ideas and only 5% definitely aim and arrive at conclusions.

Speaker:

Desultory.

Speaker:

I love new words, I asked Susan what it meant.

Speaker:

She told me by the way, okay.

Speaker:

Then I went and looked it up.

Speaker:

Does someone Tory means lacking a plan purpose or.

Speaker:

Do you know, who is lacking a plan, purpose, or enthusiasm,

Speaker:

these guys right here.

Speaker:

And by the way, they think enthusiasm is going to see in a movie or playing

Speaker:

a game of golf or playing a video game.

Speaker:

And by the way, I do all that.

Speaker:

But that's just a piece of what I do.

Speaker:

I do a lot of other things.

Speaker:

The other thing they said is jumping from one object of attention to another,

Speaker:

without concentration or clear order, you have to make sure you stay focused.

Speaker:

Every three months we come together and we refocus on what

Speaker:

we need to do to be successful.

Speaker:

And when you go home, you know, the biggest thing that breaks my heart when

Speaker:

somebody joins is they go home and then they call and they go, oh, I'm sorry.

Speaker:

But right now, such and such is happening in my life.

Speaker:

And I can't do it.

Speaker:

And we try, we try to tell them, we warned you.

Speaker:

That was going to happen.

Speaker:

Don't let that happen.

Speaker:

Show up.

Speaker:

We even try to help them get where they're going, because we know when

Speaker:

they show up, everything else gets easier, but the 95% will convince.

Speaker:

You will convince you that you really don't need to show up.

Speaker:

You already got what you need.

Speaker:

Don't you have enough information.

Speaker:

That's what they'll tell you.

Speaker:

Don't you have enough information to succeed.

Speaker:

That's what your spouse will tell you.

Speaker:

That's what your kids will tell you what your parents will tell you.

Speaker:

In some cases.

Speaker:

Don't you have enough information to succeed?

Speaker:

Of course you do.

Speaker:

You had enough information to succeed before you showed up here,

Speaker:

but it's about implementation.

Speaker:

It's about surrounding yourself with other successful people.

Speaker:

It's about taking it to the next level and hearing how one person overcame a

Speaker:

problem you probably have, or a challenge.

Speaker:

You might have to be able to take it to the next level.

Speaker:

It's about having someone stand next to you and say, you can

Speaker:

do it because it's difficult.

Speaker:

Sometimes it's difficult sometimes.

Speaker:

So take notes, not just today, but the rest of your life.

Speaker:

The note takers by the way, are the most successful people out

Speaker:

there because it engages the brain.

Speaker:

All right.

Speaker:

So be charismatic.

Speaker:

Did I ever mention to you, I am not a charismatic person

Speaker:

or let's put it this way.

Speaker:

I was not a charismatic person when I was in high school.

Speaker:

Okay.

Speaker:

I did a lot of stupid stuff when I was in school and I got myself

Speaker:

in a lot of trouble and I was an introvert to base on top of all that.

Speaker:

So I went to school and I worked.

Speaker:

I went to school and I worked because honestly I wouldn't money.

Speaker:

And my dad, one of the things I love about my dad was he said, son, any

Speaker:

money you earn is yours to keep.

Speaker:

Cause when he grew up, when he earned money, it went into the family.

Speaker:

If you have kids and they're earning money, it should be there.

Speaker:

We do teach our kids how to divide the money up so that they'll

Speaker:

have it for different things.

Speaker:

Think about this for a second.

Speaker:

Elizabeth is on a scholarship.

Speaker:

She works as a tutor so that she can have something to put on her resume.

Speaker:

She gets paid a little bit of money for that, and she goes to college

Speaker:

full-time and she still puts a hundred dollars a month in her savings account.

Speaker:

She's 21.

Speaker:

She has thousands of dollars in her savings account that they're planning

Speaker:

on using when they get married to help buy their first house, rarely have

Speaker:

any of my kids ever gone and rented.

Speaker:

And if they have, they haven't rented for very long, because

Speaker:

owning is so much better,

Speaker:

so develop a magnetic personality, learn some social skills and social skills

Speaker:

come by helping other people succeed.

Speaker:

One of the things I've seen Michael do is he is now helping other people succeed.

Speaker:

He sharing with people what he does to help be successful.

Speaker:

It's kind of a cool thing.

Speaker:

Now, I want you to think about this.

Speaker:

We all know there's four basic personality types, right?

Speaker:

And people will tell you, figure out what your basic personality type is.

Speaker:

And, use it to make yourself a better person.

Speaker:

And I want you to know that's completely bogus.

Speaker:

Yes, I have a dominant personality, but I learned to be charismatic is that you

Speaker:

have to master all four personalities.

Speaker:

And the best way to do that is to be around other people that do it.

Speaker:

So step one, make worthwhile contacts, find other cool people

Speaker:

that are doing stuff and being successful in be around them.

Speaker:

Can, can I get all of our coaches to stand up for?

Speaker:

Just suck.

Speaker:

It would all of our coaches stand up for a second.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

Give him a hand.

Speaker:

These are worthwhile contacts.

Speaker:

Thank you so much, guys.

Speaker:

These are worthwhile contacts and I will tell you the reason, one

Speaker:

of the reasons they're coaches is because they have charisma because

Speaker:

people want to be around them so you got to make worthwhile contacts.

Speaker:

You've got to find other people you've found it pays to come

Speaker:

into contact with great men.

Speaker:

Now here's the big secret with coming into contact with great men or women.

Speaker:

Let me make that clear I want you to know whether it's a man or a woman.

Speaker:

You want to emulate them.

Speaker:

You want to find out what they're doing and you want to do exactly the

Speaker:

same thing they're doing in gags.

Speaker:

Very simple pressure.

Speaker:

Does it work?

Speaker:

Pressure force does not work.

Speaker:

If you want to be successful, we can not force you to be successful.

Speaker:

There was a gentleman that came last year that I basically forced to come.

Speaker:

And I basically forced him to create a big bang marketing route of 20

Speaker:

offices and visit those 20 offices.

Speaker:

And when we asked people to join , he was the first one up out

Speaker:

of his seat and he went and signed up and I was so proud of him.

Speaker:

And I thought to myself, it worked.

Speaker:

And then I got the phone call, Mike, I'm so sorry.

Speaker:

I can't because I'm too busy.

Speaker:

Now, are you freaking kidding me?

Speaker:

You told me that if you could do just five inspections a week, it

Speaker:

would change your life for ever.

Speaker:

And now you're doing 10, 12 inspections a week and you have the nerve to pick

Speaker:

up the phone and call me as they are.

Speaker:

I'm too busy.

Speaker:

When you called me the first time you were saying, I'm only doing one, maybe

Speaker:

two inspections a week and I'm dying.

Speaker:

And we financially helped him through, because I wanted to prove that the

Speaker:

big bang marketing would work for him.

Speaker:

He broke my heart.

Speaker:

He broke my heart, but I can't force somebody to be successful.

Speaker:

But I want you to know if you want to be successful, you

Speaker:

don't do what the 95% are doing.

Speaker:

See, he's doing what the 95% are doing right now.

Speaker:

He's home doing inspections, making money.

Speaker:

That money is going to go the wrong direction for him.

Speaker:

Now, some people like him wake up a second year, a third year and they

Speaker:

come back and we have people that are back a second and third year that

Speaker:

have been gone for a couple of years.

Speaker:

And I get that.

Speaker:

And I have to tell you, you are probably stronger than just about

Speaker:

anybody else because to show back up later is an impressive thing.
